From risk analysis and the drafting of employment contracts to the support of strategic transactions: Anyone who wants to support companies in the legally compliant design and implementation of business processes must be as familiar with laws and paragraphs as they are with business issues. Graduates of the master’s program in business law bring both: legal competence and economic thinking. That makes you sought-after experts.
The Master’s program provides you with basic specialist knowledge in business-related legal disciplines and enables you to evaluate business decisions on an economic and legal level and to find legally compliant solutions to complex problems. Among other things, you will deal with corporate and company law, learn how to draw up employment contracts and risk analyzes and deal with the issue of compliance and liability risks for managers and supervisory bodies. In the course of your studies, you will also train your negotiation and moderation skills as well as management and leadership skills.
From the third semester you have the opportunity to sharpen your professional profile by specializing in a subject area. There are six specializations to choose from, each comprising three modules including a practical project. Depending on your individual interests and professional goals, you can choose between the standard specialization “Contracts” and the focus areas “Mergers & Acquisitions”, “Legal Tech”, “Compliance/Commercial Criminal Investigation”, “Mediation & Conflict Management” or “Insurance”.
After completing your studies, as a legal expert with a basic understanding of business relationships, you will have a wide range of professional opportunities. Depending on the chosen specialization, you can e.g. B. as a project manager for mergers & acquisitions or as a compliance manager in companies as well as take on specialist and management positions in auditing companies, law firms or insurance companies.
