Entry qualification

Postgraduate diploma (or higher) Master’s degree in Engineering in Food Science. Applicants with background in other field need to pass an entrance exam. Please provide the secondary school leaving certificate in the original language. If the diploma is not issued in English, a certified translation should be provided. The document must be legalised/apostilled. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university. It is necessary to have notarized certified documents translated, legalized and apostilled. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Overview

The study programme is aimed to prepare qualified specialists for the teaching and research work with a competence corresponding to the international standards in food science.

Studies are organised as lectures, seminars, discussion with supervisor and individual studies.

The main courses offered include theoretical and empirical research methodology, scientific language/terminology of food science, problems and theories in the field of Food Science research, theoretical and practical innovations/novelties in the field of Food Science.

Students in this programme acquire the skills to do theoretical and empirical investigations in Food Science in cooperation with other persons involved in the investigation, participating and presenting results in scientific conferences, able to develop new knowledge on existing knowledge and practically implementing investigation results, prepare internationally indexed publications.
