Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) University degree ¹ with an economics portion of at least 60 credit points² regardless of the subject and one and a half years of professional experience before, during or after your first degree with a technical connection to the master’s degree (the bridging course in business administration must be successfully completed) and current occupation ³ 1) Graduated with a master’s or bachelor’s degree or with a diploma or state examination. Degrees from accredited bachelor’s courses at vocational academies are equivalent to university bachelor’s degrees. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. Creative marketing campaigns can be decisive for a successful product placement, in companies today the brand value already makes up a large part of the company value that can be reported on the balance sheet. This shows the high responsibility for marketing experts and their targeted marketing concepts.
The Marketing & Communication master’s program provides you with specialist knowledge and extensive methodological skills to plan marketing strategies in a digitized world and to successfully implement them in advertising measures. You analyze stakeholders and markets and develop strategic communication concepts, from content marketing to touchpoint marketing. Knowledge of advertising and media psychology, together with the necessary scientific methods, will help you to successfully link, plan, implement and evaluate the effects of advertising and communication campaigns and customer loyalty programs online and offline.
The use of big data and the digital transformation of marketing are important developments in the industry. You will get to know concrete online marketing projects and campaigns and deal with search engine and e-mail marketing as well as with the area of social media. In order to systematically plan advertising measures or to be able to successfully accompany brand launches, you will get to know instruments of market analysis, budget planning and communication controlling. This includes, among other things, the creation and analysis of key figures and allows you to make well-founded statements about competitors and market developments.
Upon successful completion of the course, you qualify for a variety of specialist and managerial positions in marketing and communications departments of companies, e.g. as marketing manager, communication manager or in consulting, e.g. as PR consultant and in advertising and PR agencies.
