Overview
Whether permanent or as an external consultant in companies: business psychologists move in very different areas of business life, take on a wide range of tasks at the interface between business and psychology and thus optimize the performance potential of companies in many respects. They support companies, for example, in marketing, in market research or in personnel selection and development. In addition, they design personality-enhancing work concepts and coaching programs.
Building on your first degree in (business) psychology, you will gain in-depth psychological expertise with a focus on consulting and business administration knowledge in this master’s degree. Both disciplines – business psychology and consulting – are treated in a coherent and practice-oriented manner, so that you take a holistic view of business psychology consulting and build up comprehensive consulting skills.
You will acquire comprehensive skills on the four levels of “Applied Psychology”, “Psychological Counselling”, “Business Advice” and “Research Methods”. Among other things, you will learn how to accompany companies in the various phases from foundation to expansion and consolidation. You will acquire knowledge in work and organizational psychological counseling, e.g. B. being able to analyze the effects of digitization and develop solutions. You will also deal with market research and consumer psychology – important aspects for checking the advertising effect of companies and being able to derive suitable marketing measures. Innovative, virtual teaching methods are used in the course, in which current topics such as virtual leadership and gamification are taken up in recruiting and training. In addition to imparting knowledge about virtual work and consulting, coaching units enable an individual exchange in the context of webinars.
With your studies, you qualify for responsible management tasks in specialist and management positions – in the areas of consulting, human resources and consulting, in organizational consulting and development or in marketing, in market research and in the field of coaching.
