Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) Relevant university degree¹ e.g. as an industrial engineer (diploma, bachelor’s degree) to 210 credit points² with a first professional degree of 180 credit points², the missing 30 credit points² must be completed by the time of registering for the master’s thesis at the latest. Depending on the first degree, the missing 30 credit points² must be achieved either in engineering and/or in economics modules. Deviating from this, up to 30 credit points can also be proven by determining suitably qualified, relevant professional experience. 1) Degrees from accredited bachelor’s courses at vocational academies are equivalent to bachelor’s degrees from universities. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / German. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. |

Interface between technology and economy
Making production more efficient, increasing market shares at home and abroad and advancing the digitization of business processes – keyword Industry 4.0: industrial engineers take on demanding management tasks at the interfaces of very different company areas.
The master’s degree in industrial engineering at the FOM University teaches the necessary skills – from the design of product life cycles in the digitized working world to the optimization of the sale of industrial goods and the management of international, complex projects. You will learn to analyze business processes, to develop suggestions for improvement and to keep an eye on production costs with your technical and economic double qualification. Since you will have to deal with a large number of international actors, regulations and technical conditions in your later career, you will also work specifically on your leadership and organizational skills. In addition, you will deal with questions that are relevant to the marketing of industrial goods and plant construction. This includes e.g. B.
Graduates of the master’s degree in industrial engineering are qualified for specialist and managerial tasks in a wide range of corporate contexts: in sales management of technical products, as project or process managers in industrial companies and in leading positions in production and technology management.
